2003 Ford Mondeo engine running lumpy .

Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 2003
Variant: 2.0 Ghia petrol
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I've renewed the spark plugs and the coil pack . I don't think the problem is the HT leads as when it's it in 4th/5th gear it seems ok . Going up through the gears it is lumpy as if it is missing . I changed the fuel filter about 2000 miles ago . I've also used some fuel additive , thinking this might cure the problem , but no luck . The vehicle mileage is 95 k .Now the engine management light has come on , any ideas ?

Could be a plug lead breaking down as you suggest .Could always test leads with a meter if you dont want to replace them .With the light on it will have a code stored which will show if a diagnostic scan carried out .

Hi you can buy a code reader on amazon or ebay for £10 or £15 and it will read the fault. If you have done plugs and coil it mite be leads. Good luck.
