2003 Ford Mondeo help! electric car seats not moving down, button on side of seet not working

I bought this car at auction yesterday...really chuffed!! but it has been owned by a really small person and i'm really tall! The button on the side of the seat doesn't wotk and I can't move the seat down...can anyone help? Thanks

rock the switch back and forth a few times this may free up the switch failing this check fuses or try switch from other seat if it works the switch itself is prob faulty hope this helps

will be the worm gear in the seat motor all u can do is replace
