2001 Ford Mondeo driving light on, no engine power when driving

When i drive with my driving lights on, car does not have power. It does not want to accelerate and when on idle, rpm is erratic.
When i cut the driving lights (only parking lights on) there is no problem, car is working just fine.
I have changed alternator.
What should i check/change next?

Would check with a multimeter what current is being drawn when you turn these lights on as there seem,s to be an issue related to your lighting circuit. Then check the switch and earth,s and any thing else on the same circuit.

Sounds like alternator is failing under load .As suggested test with meter .
