These Ford alarms have a self test feature. Open the bonnet had press the alarm switch in and out several times quickly. The horn should beep a few times to tell you it has gone into test mode. Then go round and open each door and tailgate in turn and the horn should beep. Put the key in the door locks and lock and unlock and the horn should beep. No beep indicates a fault. The most likely fault is the operating switch in the drivers door. this is a small microswitch built into the actual latch assembly.
