2004 Ford Mondeo droning noise

Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 2004
Variant: 2.0 Zetec Hatch
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi, I have the above problem with my car. It started about 2 months back and has slowly been getting louder. There is no difference in sound if the car is loaded or not, but seem's to get louder has the car get's faster (40-60MPH) - but is still there at low speed too (10-40MPH)! I have been told it could be the drive shaft - not sure though! Any help or advice would be greatful. If it is the drive shaft - is this easy to do and what price??
In advance - thank you.

Sure it,s not a wheel bearing ,you can check this by spinning the wheel you suspect and holding the strut you will feel the roughness .

As suggested , sounds like wheel bearing . When driving and noise is there , flick steering wheel to transfer load from one side to the other and see if noise alters .
