Took car to mechanic but the computer showing it was unable to identify problem,the same at local ford dealer.
Mechanic reckons it could be to do with the wiring on tow bar which I got shortly after buying car.I have the car since Nov 2011,the light is on only for the last 3 weeks.
Mechanic thinks some malfunction with computer in car.

Take it car out of 3 year warranty ?

If you drop your c.e.m. Down located on the passenger footwell and check the top green coloured connection for water and corrosion and check the pins,you can even apply a small amount of grease to ensure good contact,just that's one of the issues with these ,other issues would normally log fault codes.
