2002 Ford Mondeo trouble starting

Hi,my car has over the last couple of weeks,developed a problem with starting,2 3 or 4 attempts to start it,a couple of times ive had to bump start it,no warning lights on dash,everything appears normal,any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

is it a tdci or tddi does it crank and turn over at a good speed if so would think you have a fuel pressure problem poss injectors, after long crank do you have glow plug lamp flashing which indicates low fuel rail pressures, if its TDDI might be low pressure pump in front of fuel tank hope this helps [ mike Ford specialist]

Other thought is have you replaced the fuel filter recently as if this is partially clogged can give low fuel pressure fault code,

wont be fuel filter would hold back when driving and coil light would come on

Any fault codes in the vehicle ? Other thought is check for fuel run back which would cause your initial non start .and does your vehicle have a single throttle which shuts the engine off ,this could be jamming causing none start or until it is jarred open by engine cranking,
