Battery dead after night parking

1997 Ford Mondeo 1.8 se Verona
Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 1997
Variant: 1.8 se Verona
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all,
I just got a '97 mondeo 1.8 verona, and for the first 2 weeks everything was fine, then all of a sudden the indicators go off on their own after I've locked up for the night. In the morning I try to start the car and the windscreen wipers go for a count of 3 and the starter motor clicks away, without turning the engine.
Once started, the car runs fine all day, starting every time, even if I've left it parked up for hours.
Come the next morning, nothing again !
I've made sure everything is off (as much as possible), but the indicators come on and go off with a clicking noise whenever they want to during the night, so now I've been disconnecting the battery as a last resort.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanx.

Okay thanx very much for the info.
I've put anothr battery on and it seems to have been the flat battery, so I'll check the lights you've suggested and see how it goes.
Many Thanx again for your help.
