2006 Ford Mondeo glow plug light flashing

Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 2006
Variant: 2.0 tdci
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi, i just changed the fuel filter, had lots of problems trying to start it again, turned out to be, no fuel getting through. couple of days later managed to get it started. But now my engine management light is on, and my glow plug light in flashing plus lots of black smoke. Could it be the injectors need reprogramming, due starving them of fuel, can any one please.
