2000 Ford Mondeo fuel pump fuse

on my mondeo when I go to start it when its hot it misfires and blows the fuel pump fuse. I replace the fuse then the engine turns over but will not start.then if i leave it to cool down sometimes overnight it starts as normal. I have no problems with it driving, it runs great.
