2003 Ford Mondeo engine management light

I have had a few problems with my car recently. First the engine management light came on advising water in the fuel. We replaced filters and the fault cleared itself. Recently the management light came on again and I was advised to change all 4 injectors as 1 was completely gone and the others were about to go. That was 2 weeks ago and now the engine management light is appearing again although not yet reading a fault. It flashes on and then the engine cuts out if I don't manage to stop the car.

Can anyone advise what might now be wrong.
