2001 Ford Mondeo drivers seat not secure

The drivers seat moves when you are sat in it and lean back the back of the seat goes back slightly and the base of the seat will also lift up slightlybut both go down when u lift away from the back. I cant see anything when i have looked, the seat can move back and forwards on the runner as normal, it has a electric height adjuster on this seat as well but this hasnt worked since i purchased the car not even sure if it could be connected. Any help in fixing this prob would be a great help as i have my mot on fri and im guessing it will fail on this problem.
