i depress the clutch put into gear revs on and don't move the revs go up as if its not in gear can totally bring my foot off the clutch whilst car is in gear and nothing happens no stall anything..... help !!!!

sounds like the centre of the clutch plate has broken or check for disengaged drive shaft first

Some of that year / model had DMFs (dual mass flywheels) which gave problems as you describe .

IF it was the flywheel , you have to remove clutch assembly any way to get at flywheel .You can get kits which includes all parts or if flywheel o.k , just a clutch kit .
