Kick down - no acceleration

2004 Ford Maverick 3.0 XLT Auto
Car: Ford Maverick
Year: 2004

Kick down do not work, doesn't accelerate as normal, max speed 120 km/hour.
Seems not have power as should and consumes gasoline more than usually.
Wondering what's the prob?

I would start with checking the automatic transmission oil.

Sounds more like an engine fault . You could check for any vac hose leaks but really need to check it's firing on all six .So many possible causes , like plugs , coil packs etc . etc ., really better getting a diagnostic scan carried out .
