Very intermittent failure to start. On turning ignition a complete failure to start with a resultent click and no other response. Have fitted reconditioned starter motor twice and new battery. Problem still exists, will go for several weeks no problem then refuses to start several times in one day. Has been back and to the garage several times, no helpful solution. Any ideas?

check all power and earth feeds from battery to the engine and body earth, check starter solenoid feed from switch at starter for battery voltage
