Windsreen Washers Not Working

2005 Ford Fusion 104 TDCI

Hi Folks,

I hope someone here can help please?

The other day my windscreen washer developed an intermittent problem by working sometimes, and at other times not. Now it won't work atall. No motor sound, but rear is working just fine...

Any ideas anyone?

it could be that the front nozzle`s are frozen. I have a similar issue on my focus. The rear works fine but the front seems to freeze dead easily. Of course there could be some dirt in the front lines causing them to block.

Thanks jota1978, I'll check the nozzles. The thing is, The rear works fine, but the fronts don't as there's no sound from the motor/pump as there is from the rear...

Are there two pumps/motors, one for each front and rear. If there's only one for both, then then maybe it's the switch on the stick? Hope someone has a solution. Heading off on a road trip to the UK next week and really need them the washers for motorways especially. Can't afford to pay garage prices at present. :0
