Thanks for that guys how do you access the speed sensor or can't you and if so is it a question of a loose wire or something similar. If it turns ouut I do need a new set of clocks is it expensive or hard to fix?

A new set of clocks is about £50 but not hard to fix as they don't need programmed unless you want the original miles put back on which will cost about another £50 but if not its just a matter of taking one set out and putting new set in the only problem is there will be no registered miles on the new clocks.
