car will miss when being driven and engine will cut out. you cant restart the car until you open the bonnet and close it again, then the car will start first time.. any ideas please..

Check the bonnet switch/sensor ( if fitted )

found sensor and it looks clean and ok. can you just disconnect this or do you need to over ride inorder to test car
