2001 Ford Focus car goes idle while a let indicator pulsin .

Hello mates, i have a strange problem with my car from a few days... while i drive my car sudenly looses power going idle. While the indicator of Glow plugs that heat the internal combustion chamber area pulses non stop. i try to acelerate but nothing happens .. car engine stays with 1000 rpm ( idle ).. then i turn off engine and turn it on again... after that all works ok till next day or the week after till this happens again... i hope is not the fuel pump :( wich cost a hell of money here in Albania... some friends say that i must reprogram the car system.. is that true?

Could check accelerator pedal position sensor .

difficult to say. would need to interrogate the ecu and check for fault codes for guidence.
