2006 Ford Focus no acceleration

when i was driving home today the car wouldn't accelerate properly from 2nd-3rd, 3rd-4th and 4th-5th. it then wouldn't drive above 60mph. there is no noise coming from the engine. any ideas please. cheers. tony

no warning lights. it's a 1.6 cdti. can't get it over 4500 revs in 3rd/4th/5th

check the fuel return hose its next to fuel in hose its see through,if to much fuel goes back to tank it can run low on power and stall.there is a valve on pump to let fuel back to tank if pressure gets too high in pump,if it sticks can cause this
