Hi i have a ford focus 2006 LX i was driving down a duel carriageway last night doing about 30 mph and the LOCKING bonnet just flew open shattering the windscreen how myself and my mother were not killed or a major accident caused i will never no has anyone had this problem

Had many incidents of this in our b/shop over the years ,every one due to the bonnet not been closed correctly .Even had one open on road test due to mechanic not shutting it fully after servicing car .A lot of times, on some cars it can be seen moving about , allowing you to stop and shut it .The safety catch , if operating correctly will hold bonnet from blowing up within reason .

I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE BONNET ON MY 06 FORD FOCUS. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE N'T SEEN PREVIOUSLY.
