Acceleration Reduction

2006 Ford Focus ST3
Car: Ford Focus
Year: 2006
Variant: ST3
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hi.

Cold day, went to start the car, wont turn over and the warning light comes up saying "ACCELERATION REDUCTION".

Have left it a while to warm in the sun but it still wont turn over.

Any ideas? Battery?

Might well be battery , could try jump start or put on charge . Another fault you can get is with the accelerator pedal position sensor and these are common for throwing up fault codes. You can usually disconnect and spray them with WD40 to clean the contacts. But if not turning over would check battery and also starter connections first .
