2007 Ford Focus water in spare wheel well

There is water collecting in the spare wheel well. It is clean - the spare wheel is very damp - looks like condensation.I dried it all out but a couple of days later it looks as though it is beginning to form again. The car has not been out in the rain since drying it out and no water has been spilled in the boot.
