Lack of response

2001 Ford Focus TDI
Car: Ford Focus
Year: 2001
Variant: TDI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Engine starts well but there is a 15 second (approx) response on throttle pedal to engine revs. Slightly better when warmer - but only!

all that i can say to this for you is try using some diesel additive and see how you go from there but failing that could require a service ie oil air and fuel filers and engine oil

sounds to me as though you have a boost pressure problem, check for any visible split or insecure hoses, on diesels this is more apparent by the presence of oil. Or you may have a mass air flow sensor problem.
