The odometer light stays on dim

the odometer light stays on dim it will go out when the engine turns off but when go to the last position of the ignition to remove the key the odometer light comes back on very faint and stays on

im not 100% on this one but there may be some dash board bulbs out or you may have a falut on the dash board clocks has the car got a dimmer switch because if it has it may even be the switch that is faulty and may want replacing hope this helps
