2006 Ford Focus wipers on while ignition off

I have a 2006 (56) Focus Sport - which bizarly when locked the wipers decide they want to come on and drain my battery! I originally thought this was a one off, but its now happened several times since. I read one of the older posts on here and someone said that its a problem with a faulty relay - since reading that I've contacted Ford who have said they never had a recall for anything like that. Can you help?

Certainly worth checking relay . Wouldn't expect it to be subject of recall ,just normal electrical unit failure which happens .This might help if you you want to have a look ,
Where is the windshield wiper relay for a 2006 ford focus?
Behind glove box (squeeze sides and pull down), top row of relays, small relay on righ. to get it out, undo the 2 hex bolts, undo the cips, then pull out.
