very intermittant loss of power - engine continues to tick over but no response from accelerator pedal glow plug comes on, if i switch car off/on power restored. Ps can happen x1-2 per day, or x1 per week/month, (no set pattern to fault).

get ecu codes read as glow means fault occuring and a code will be stored

There is a cam sensor on top of engine that fail all the time causing problem you described,a code read should confirm this
