2006 Ford Focus vehicle information display staying lit

Everything turned off as normal but the information display has stayed on. Worried that the battery will run down too as a result

Nothing in handbook re . changing display mode settings ?

Thinking about it again , when the car is switched off the display remains for a certain length of time before clearing , as it should . (does on my wifes car )This delay must be controlled by a module somewhere ? probably in fuse box ? A call to Ford parts dept . might get you the info .
