2001 Ford Focus sometimes won,t start

Now and again car stops and wont start for about 5 mins.Hope someone can help i dont no if this has any-thing to do with it but on last mot emissions were high thanks.

Best to get a diagnostic to find out why readings high .If running too rich won't help.Could check air filter in case it needs replacing .
