battery lights comes on and off intermitlet then some times speedo drops to zero also abs lights and handbrake light flick on then go off,also had speedo and rev counter and miles go off ,but if stop and swicth off then start up again its fine .

I have had exactly the same problem and my local ford garage has had my car in on numerous occasions. Just this week it was in again however this time they informed me that the problem was that the car was overcharging and have now replaced the alternator. It is a little early to determine if this has really fixed the problem but so far all seems well.
