2016 Ford Focus estate front wipers stop working

Front windscreen wipers keep stopping during normal used. They run ok for about 15 minutes the they can stop in the middle of the screen or at the top of the screen or both. Car has been back to the garage 3 times the last time they had it for two and a half days Worried about driving it just in case it rains

I dont know if scanning with Forscan would show up possible fault .On an American forum I Mod on I remember someone had a similar fault with a different model . Might sound strange but it was cured by fitting OEM wiper blades and thoroughly cleaning the screen . Something to do with to much drag on wiper blades

Thanks for your prompt reply. I'll try a new set of wiper blades . I always keep my windscreen and car clean it might be the wipers . Thanks again.

Often a screen looks clean but has traffic film build up . Some use meths to clean and say it helps
