Wont start

2011 Ford Focus 1.6 tdci sport

Drove my car on and off all day no problems. Parked up overnight then next morning car would not start. just kept turning over but not starting. A friend said it needed a new in tank fuel pump so i replaced it. No difference. I called out an auto electrician who said the fuel pump wasn't getting any power to it. He couldn't solve the problem. I'm on the verge of scrapping it now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There is at least 1 fuse and a relay also that covers fuel pump on some Focus years / models.
