2007 Ford Focus won't start when up to temp

Car starts perfect when cold but when up to temperature car will take ages to start or won't start depending on how war was told to change the crank sensor but that haven't done a thing any help much appreciated

Ignore any advice from that person!
My first thought would be a faulty coolant temperature sensor.
