A very definite set of conditions have to be met before the ECU will initiate a DPF clean,
if the car is equipped to do this.
Just taking it for a run is unlikely to do anything except use fuel
For example,
and the only one I can remember off hand is the Renault 1.9.
That need an engine at operating temp and run for 50 mls without going below a set rpm!!
Some one with top level diagnostic scan tools might be able to initiate a clean cycle.
But some manufacturers remove that function from some engine software.
You could try one of the additive dpf cleaning solutions but the only one I've used was Wurth.
That coupled with a DPF regeneration cycle DID drop the soot percentage,
But that was in a Peugeot.
but then again so is your engine a PSA.
So worth a try.
