1999 Ford Focus blowers not working

Year: 1999
Variant: 1.8 Zetec Estate

Hi, I hope someone out there can help me! My blowers have stoppped working completely! Have changed the fuse, but just keeps blowing. Any advice would be gratefully received. Cheers, Sam

will be the heater resistor and wiring burnt out common sadly but cheap easy fix

Thanks for that. Any idea how I'd go about doing this myself? Don't know a lot about cars, but am wiling to give it a go! Whereabouts would I start? Thanks in advance!!

remove glove box and look at the heater motor and it will be looking at you

Thanks for that, have now replaced the resistor with a brand new one and still no blowers. Changed fuse and it blew again straight away! So must be something else, any other sugestions out there? Cheers, Sam

unplug the heater blower (the actual motor ) then put in a new fuse and go through the heater blower settings if it does not blow the fuse then probably the heater fan is siezed .if however it still blows with it unplugged tyhen you have a short elsewhere

have you replaced the wiring and plug , this will have burnt out

Hi. I have this problem develop on my 2002 Focus and found this thread from a while back. Did either of the suggested solutions work I wonder?
