Oil light on and engin full of oil

Oil light comes on on getting engine noise, taken car to garage, they looked at it started it up and oil light went out, so driven car for about 200 miles and oil light has come back on, any ideas would be appreciated thank you.

Oil light on a engine noise usually indicates lack of circulation or engine wear . Could try changing oil and filter , especially if not been done for a while .If high mileage , could be engine wear .
