2004 Ford Focus noise from wipers

at speeds of 65mph+ my front windscreen wipers make a noise similair to a stone hitting the screen, this happens at the top of the stroke only, as the wipers start the downward stroke, and appears to come from the right arm. i have replaced the wiper blades to no effect. hope you can help

could be the wiper mechanism that has worn out as they are only plastic bushes and these wear out
