Solenoid A malfunction ( changing gears)

hi, my problem is that i have had a mobile diognostic done on my car, and was given the codes P0750 SOLENOID A MALFUNCTION, this is fine, i understand, but when i spoke to ford for a price on parts an labour they say that the code does not exsist, and that even though i have just paid 40 quid for my diognostic to get the codes, they are saying, they must do one to get the real codes and this will cost me 80 quid, i refuse to go with ford anymore, please help and advise, as on several web sites the codes i have relate to what i was told.
