Needles jumping on start up

2004 Ford Focus 1.8 ghia PETROL
Car: Ford Focus
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.8 ghia PETROL
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When turning ignition to the second position engine starts, no probs there, but the glow plug light comes on (petrol engine) and the needles on the dials jump for a few seconds. Also there is a green light at the bottom of the rev counter dial that lights up but not for long enough to see what it is. This only happens when starting from cold.

On next start from cold have the radio turned on with the volume up. See if u can hear a heavy interference coming through the speakers while your clocks cluster is playing up. Interference from higher voltage systems can cause this fault or a possible internal clock cluster fault.

You can get this problem with a low battery .Might be worth puting batery on charge or if fairly old , get it load tested / checked out .
