Engine won't start

I recently my ford focus & on short runs there's no problem, but i've found on a long run of 40 miles or more, when i've parked the car & go back after 20 mins it fires up & then dies, after an hour it starts up fine & runs any ideas as to the fault please.

Check the routine service items like plugs , air filter and a good grade of correct oil and filter first .

If all o.k in first reply , check crankshaft sensor and wiring .

Is it a diesel model?If it is then possibly air shut off throttle jamming in plastic throttle housing.you remove it and file the butterfly slightly so that it can not jam.
