2000 Ford Focus car wont lock with fog or key

Hi, ive just brought a ford focus on a xreg 1.8 zetec and got it home to find the doors wont lock with the fog or by key in the door you can hear it making a noise alittle bit like its trying but cant, ive checked the fuse for the central locking but cant be anythink like that because it works you can hear it trying, any ideal's? thanks

If it doesn't lock with the remote fob you should have been able to lock with the key manually . Looks like you will have to pull door trim off and check for sticking , broken linkage or spring on lock assembly / actuator.

found out its somethink to do with the drivers door as thats the master lock if that ****s up it ****s up every other door but if the lock went wrong on another door it would only be that door that dont lock, so at least iv narrrowed it down to one door.
