2000 Ford Focus 1.8 tddi
Car: Ford Focus
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.8 tddi
Categories: Leaks & Noises
My Focus' central locking doesnt work, the remote doesnt do anything, but when inside the car if you lock one door, only that door locks, same with the boot, boot release doesnt work... everything is ok using the key, but electronically.. naff all.

Anyone got any ideas, dont want to have to go to the expense of going to a main dealer :(

either fuse 23 on the back of the fuse box under the glove box ps fuse box has 2 sides/ or a drivers side locking motor / or key fob try replacing battery turn key in ignition on off fast till it bleeps then hold lock button.

Right, I found the fuse replaced it it blew again... put another one in "pop" it blew again straight away. How would I go about working out which lock is the culprit? (is it just a matter of replacing a solenoid!?)

ok right, do i need to start taking panels off or is it literally open the door and unclip? I have notice the passenger door lock doesnt work with key or fob or anything, the drivers door is fine with key. could this be a sign its the passenger door... or will i be going through 5 fuses potentially? Also if its this one, can I just leave it disconnected and the others and boot hatch will work as should?

Smack that badboy, sorted it out. just unplugged them all and kept plugging them in till the fuse blew.. the culprit.. a bad rear passenger drivers side door. Unplugged it, left it unplugged, locked it manually and seeming I never really use it, its all good.. the replacement is nothing urgent. The doors I use and my boot release works all good. :)
