2002 Ford Focus car radio won't tune in to fm stations , but works ok for am / lw stations

Car: Ford Focus
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I cannot get any FM radio stations on my car radio but i can get Medium Wave and Long Wave stations fine . I replaced the car roof ariel antenna as i thought this was the reason , all i have doe is attached new ariel to the roof connection and inside the interior onto a threaded bolt type screw which the ariel wire is joined , so i have not touched or knocked anything , so why won't it pick up any F M SIGNALS ? It is a RDS 6000 CD SERIES . Please can any one help , thanks robbie
