2006 Ford Focus clicking noise

My focus has recently developed a clicking noise when I am pulling away or changing gears, its at its noisiest when in low gear (mainly up to 3rd), I really have no idea what it could be be and am concerned it could be to do with the clutch or gearbox

is it worse when going round corners as mondeos suffered from cv joints so focus could be the same

no its worse when pulling away from lights or reversing, basically when I'm stationary then moving off.
