I have just changed the fuel filter now it will not start

if you did`nt fill the new filter with fuel before fitting it and starting then the engine will run for a few secs then die,you need to fill the new filter with fuel and then bleed the air from the fuel system,

how do i bleed the fuel system

does anybody know how to bleed the fuel sytem of the ford cmax 2 ltr tdi

to bleed the system you need to top the filter up with fuel and then pump the fuel through to the injectors.if you crack the pipes off on the injectors and crank the engine over untill fuel starts coming out then nip the pipes up and carry on cranking engine till it starts.when you loosen the pipes be careful as the fuel is high pressure

can anyone give me the reason why my ford focus has trouble starting having been stood over night i have changed the fuel filter so now it has had a full service its a 2ltr tdi juan

Hubby just changed fuel filter, of course it didn't start. I came to look on line for a solution, followed Simon's advice but still didn't start managed to flatten battery, while battery recharging and drinking a cup of tea he remember he had a can of Easy Start in the garage.
He sprayed this into the air filter and the car started thank goodeness.
