Where do you want to start ! Wet carpet and coolant drop could heater matrix / core leaking if it's coolant on carpet . If it's rainwater it could be getting on electrics and depending where , on the fusebox . .A pressure test on cooling system should show leak , Check your fuses . May be faulty light switch also.
