2006 Ford Focus C-Max transmission malfunction

Recently started saying this with oange light on the dash. Doesn't seem to want to change gear especially 1st - 2nd. Over revs then jolts into gear. The engine management light is constantly on. Also doesn't always start takes two - there atempts.

If the engine management light is on the car needs scanning for faults. When was the car last serviced?

You need to get it scanned and see what fault codes are stored otherwise wasting your time .
