2004 Ford Focus C-Max steering assist problem/ system management

I got a warning of power assist problem got home switched off engine . Couldn't then start the engine again . After an hour tried again and car started but now has engine system warning there is a lot of oil under that throttle body . Told a mechanic I looked up and the throttle body affect the system management . He said not on a diesel engine

First thing I would check would be alternator charging output .
