Limp Mode

Im having a new cat converter next week due to a hole in it. also it keeps going into limp mode especially moving away from lights and pulling out of junctions could the holed cat cause it to go into limp mode ?

If it's partially blocked (especially before the hole ) it certainly wont help and could be the cause .
