2003 Ford Focus C-Max bonnet release

unable to unlock bonnet with the key. I feel a click when key turned in either direction but bonnet does not release. I need to know how to get the bonnet open

The lock or catch may be faulty.

try pushing down on bonnet as you turn key mechanism maybe too tight and need adjusting

Had the same problem with mine. It's due due a small plastic collar in the lock mechanism breaking.the bonnet can be opened manually by gaining access from underneath the car. Remove the plastic splash tray, then you need to reach up between the grille and radiator to release the catch, although it's really awkward. Once opened, remove bonnet catch, strip down and replace the broken collar (costs about a fiver from ford). Don't be conned into buying a new lock as these cost around £60.
